Mid to mid-high tide on a rising tide window tends to groom the bars.
Small-to-medium south-southwest swells work best.
When the long-period S-SW groundswells pulse and a light northerly breeze holds, the west side of the lagoon (Wharf/Brighton approach) usually produces the cleaner lefts.
